19 works, shown as 20 cards — XYZ appears in both its executions. Every one carries a verified knot identity. The groups say what physically exists: welded stainless steel, cut but not yet welded, or a computed design that was never built. NOVELTY marks a knot that matches no catalogue entry; ★ marks a featured knot. MÖBIUS marks a loop that closes as a Möbius band — the square-tube profile arrives back with a quarter turn: one edge, one surface. Each card opens its own page with the rotating 3D centerline, key invariants, dimensions and downloads.
Realised in stainless steel
Welded work, standing in the world. Square tube, cut to length and TIG-welded — the curve is built from straight pieces, nothing is bent.
Cut, not yet welded
The parts lie on the welding table, cut to length — not a single seam welded yet. Neither finished steel nor merely a rendering.
Computed designs — 3D renderings, never built
Fully computed knots with a verified identity, rendered but not realised in steel. They are sculptures in the same sense: a centerline that closes.
Companion form
XYZ is the compact form of XYZ Free View — the same knot (8₁₉), strand drawn tight: striking to look at, impossible to follow by eye. Never realised in steel.
