A stainless-steel sculpture by Werner Alois Stanggassinger, with verified knot identity. The same knot type is realised by other separate works — always-a-pleasure, proxima-b are the same 12a₁₀₁₉ knot, an independent embedding (kept as distinct works, not a duplicate). Its knot type 12a1019 is smoothly slice: the knot bounds a smoothly embedded disc in the four-ball (smooth four-genus 0, KnotInfo), a fact Brod (2026) notes in passing for the Turk's head knot Th(5,3) = 12a1019. The same holds for Always-a-Pleasure and Proxima B, which realise the same knot.

See its Seifert surface in 3D →An orientable surface whose boundary is this knot. Built from the braid word: one disc per strand, one half-twisted band per letter. That its boundary is this very knot — and not its mirror, and not the unknot — was checked against the record: determinant, signature and Alexander polynomial.
